Management or Engineering for a BE mechanical engineering graduate?

I am a BE Mechanical engineering graduate working for a construction equipment manufacturing company.I am offered a management profile job in a department called '"Technical services" which is under the CEO of my company.Being a BE graduate in Mechanical engineering will it be good if I take up management job involving with the top level management making strategies,business analysis,sales realization?If i am supposed to move out for any other companies what would be the chances?I wanted to get into management with technical experience eventually but I am offered directly a management role,Please help me out in deciding Management or Engineering.
