Secluded camping near Portland?

What are some secluded camping areas in the tristate area?

  • I'm looking for a place this summer that me and girlfriend can go camping that's relatively secluded, and about a 2/3 hr drive from the Bergen County area. By secluded I mean we don't want to be stuck around a bunch of random people and families and we want a campground where we will have space. A camp site with a lake for swimming would be a plus. Thanks!

Good luck. Dispersed camping in Wisconsin State Parks, Black River State Forest, and, in the distant north of Wisconsin and the distant south of Illinois, dispersed camping in the National Forests.

Good luck. Dispersed camping in Wisconsin State Parks, Black River State Forest, and, in the distant north of Wisconsin and the distant south of Illinois, dispersed camping in the National Forests.
