Is the sims H&M stuff good?

With the Sims 2, are there any Stuff Packs that enable you to run the game using the Stuff Pack Disc?

• I've never bothered with Stuff Packs, they're useless when there's custom content available for free. Recently I lost My Sims 2 Apartment Life disc, and rather than going out and re-purchasing Apartment Life just to play the game, I thought I'd just spend the money on a newer version of the Sims 2. Unfortunately, Apartment Life was the most recent EP, and therefore is required to play the game. I was wondering if I could just install a stuff pack instead, and run the game from it, seeing as how there are two stuff packs that were released after Apartment Life. Does this work? Can you play the Sims 2 from IKEA or Mansions and Garden's stuff pack's disc?

  I have all expansion packs, but most of them are the newer improved ones with the stuff on it. I have ALL of them, and the computer asks for the "Fun with Pets Collection with Mansion & Garden Stuff and Family Fun Stuff" disk when I played Sims 2. I think it was because it had Mansion & Garden on it, which was among the last release for Sims 2. The Pets Collection was the last anything Sims 2. You would want to get ANY Collection (University, Business, or Pets) because they were the last three releases for Sims 2, and they would have finalized patches to fix game glitches. They allowed me to download the newest INTEENIMATER, and I have had no problems with that add on. If you just want to get the stuuf pack, I say go for it. If it does not work, oh well. at least you have more stuff, when you get a disk that works.
