How to make my PS3 show what is on my computer screen?

My ps3 doesnt show video (black screen)?

  • this is a ps3 slim 120 gb, theer was a blackout in my house when i was playing, i was not saving or there wasnt an automatic checkpoint either, the lights went like for 2 seconds, i tryed to turn the ps3 w the controller, no response, i pushed the power button, started as usual with the logo and the music, prompted to make the system verification and restoration, started, when got to proximelly 50% the lights went down again for 2 seconds, when i turned the ps3 for a second time just gives me a black screen, the tv (samsung lcd 32" w hdmi cable) does recognize the resolution (1080p) but nothing is shown in the screen, no sound, no video, no hard drive light, no wifi light, nothing, just the tv showing the resolution, as usual... any help? i would like to keep my savefiles from my games, i have more than 300 hours of gameplay there... :(

    So It doesn't show any sign of actually being on? If there was I would say it reset itself and the promt asking if you could seen the scrren. and if not dont press any bottons, and it would go back to default resolution. but in this case. try switching it off in the back and then flip the switch again

So It doesn't show any sign of actually being on? If there was I would say it reset itself and the promt asking if you could seen the scrren. and if not dont press any bottons, and it would go back to default resolution. but in this case. try switching it off in the back and then flip the switch again

Maybe if you disconnect all the wires from the back of your ps3 and blow on the part that goes inside of the ps3 and the part that goes in your tv it might work. Or youh can check on other tv's to see if it actually is your tv or youh can change the input channel or do what I do, hit your ps3 gentally
