How to delete friend lists on FaceBook?

How do you delete /remove friends from facebook?

  • im 34 in the uk, i joined facebook just over a year back, ive not ever logged in since and i only really signed up originally to try and locate certain people and particular certain friends i knew and liked from a long time ago... but many people started to send me friends requests over the months, friends of the friends, the real people i wanted on my facebook knew or had on their lists. now, i want to delete them and for them to be gone forever, because i keep seeing updates in my yahoo mail inbox about what they have been up to, or what theyre doing with their lives.....and im not interested at all......except for the one or two people i want to keep as friends - contacts. so id appreciate step by step if you could instruct me how i can delete these unwanted groups of people that act like adolescents. im not familiar with facebook and dont know what to click to start the friend removal process, thanks

    To unfriend: 1. Go to your friends profile. 2. Hover over the button that says "friend". 3. A drop down box will appear. 4. Click on the unfriend. To block a person( i.e to see him never again) 1. Go to your friends profile. 2. Click on the settings icon (Near the "friends" button and looks like a wheel) 3. Click on block.

If you use TIMELINE, here are the steps: 1. On top right hand of your screen, CLICK on your name. (It'll bring you to your profile page) 2. Under your big photo, there's FRIENDS (with how many friends that you have), CLICK it. 3. WAVE OVER your friends' name (that you want to delete), it'll open a small box. 4. There's a 'FRIEND' BUTTON with a tick; WAVE OVER it. It'll open another small box. 5. Find 'UNFRIEND' at the bottom of that small box. CLICK it and CONFIRM it.
