Can you bid with Paypal on ebay?
-
There's something I would like to buy on eBay, and I know they accept Paypal payments for objects, but the last time I bought something off of eBay, it wasn't in an auction, or at least I don't think it was. I've visited many sites that when I put in my paypal account, they request a linked credit card with that PayPal Account. However, my PayPal account is only linked to my Bank Account Card, as I don't ahve a credit card. Assuming I do not get a credit card, am I still allowed to place bids on eBay and pay for them with a PayPal account that is linked to a Bank Account Card, but not a Credit Card?

Answer:
As far as I know you need not have a Credit Card linked to PayPal to be able to make a purchase using PayPal. Since you already have a PayPal account that proves it. Also, one may not have a PayPal account and still sign in as a guest to make a payment. There is when you make a payment using a Credit Card for example. I have never heard of sites requesting that one has to have a linked Credit Card with ones PayPal Account...unless what you mean is that you intended to pay with a Credit Card via PayPal. Or...that the site only accepts Credit Cards and you have tried to do it through PayPal?

Depends on the seller. Read the seller's payment requirement. They note what type of payment they take under PayPal. If it doesn't specify then you are OK. If it says Credit Cards only, then contact the seller and explain. He might accept your bid anyway. ~
