Cant get on certain site using wireless stick (dongle)?
-
ok, maybe grasping at straws here, but i am a frequent user of the Friends reunited social network site, recently this site has been re vamped to a whole new layout and so on. i use a t-mobile Wireless stick (dongle) which is registered to a member of my family (contract phone) who doesn't live with me, but who has kindly let me use it. all was fine until i tried to get onto the Friends Reunited site i managed to get to the 'log on' page but after logging on the next page was just white blank it had the proper web address in the search bar above but as i have said the page below this was blank. now i thought this might be a problem concerning the re-vamp of this site and something to do with my laptop so i tried getting on this site using a desktop pc i also have, but still the same the only common denominator between my laptop and the desktop is the t-mobile dongle. i have heard something about 'contents block' but after reading about this found out there are certain 'degrees' for this block and i assume if it is a block for this site that 'Facebook' would be blocked as well, but it is not and as i am not the owner of the mobile phone that this dongle belongs to (its my sister) i don't know how to check or if you can 'block' specific sites. to be honest i don't know whats the problem, but am almost certain its the 'dongle' at fault. any body got any ideas on what might be causing this, or do you think im way off the mark thinking its the dongles fault. Thanks all. ADDED i haven't changed my ISP or web address i have always used this 'dongle' and could access FR until this re-vamp of the FR site, but the technical team at FR is looking into it. the 'to much info' suggestion sounds maybe on the right track but why would FR do this surely they would have researched this

Answer:
The problem is your IP address. Friends Reunited will see that you are accessing your account from a different location. Try to contact Friends Reunited and tell them you have changed your ISP (internet service provider) and can no longer access your account. They have this block to stop hackers. EDIT: I just got the same thing from facebook, it's because there is an under 18's block on the sim, contact T-Mobile to get the block lifted.

i am not the best at computers, but the wireless stick can't support the site because it is to much data to load like on the ipod touch some sites use lots of data like zeldaunivese.net
