What size trucks/deck should I get?

I have size 2 tapers in but can't get my gauges in! :'(?

• Hey everyone, so I got a problem. I am trying to go up to size 2 tapers after being size 6 for a while. I already got some size 4 tapers in and now I have a size 2 taper in 1 ear (i only have 1 because amazon is a ripoff). Anyway, I've had the size 2 taper for a while now (2-3 weeks) and I up trying to go up to the plug. However, I am looking at the plug and it is so much bigger than the taper. It is probably the same size in the middle but it is flared on both ends. What should I do?!? I was thinking to get some size 0 tapers and then hope that the plug will go in after that. Should I do that or just get some other plugs and hope that they are a little smaller on the outside? I heard that size 2 is the biggest size you can go and still have your ears be able to close completely. I deff. want them to close eventually. So... what are my options? Thanks!

  Remove the taper(s) from your ears, downsize and invest in single or nonflared jewelry the next time you want to stretch. Three weeks is not long enough to be waiting between sizes, skipping sizes is an awful idea, and wearing tapers can easily wreck your ears. They're not jewelry, you only need one taper per gauge. Once you give your ears enough time to recover (a few months, minimum), you may want to start looking into the taping method instead.
