Why do my eyes hurt any time I put eye makeup on?
-
I never really wear make up but when I have the time or I get pretty bored I put it on. I have noticed more and more now that when I put any type of eye make up on my eyes will start to fill really heavy and they start to hurt and sometimes they burn.. It started like this when I would put eye liner on so I just thought it was that. But then it seemed to progress.. This isn't old makeup either. I had recently bought some in October and had gotten some in December for Christmas.. Do you think I could be allergic to it? Any ideas why this is??

Answer:
It can be many reasons: your eyes are not used to having it there since you rarely wear it. You could be putting on wrong. You're eyes just could be really sensitive. And you could be allergic to it, I would suggest buying a new brand of make up and try that. Also, I wear make up aaall the time and sometimes if i put it on too fast my eyes start to burn and i have to take it off and put it on properly.

Where are you putting the eyeliner? Outside your inner lid, or inside it? Lining the inside of the lower lid can cause irritation, so if you're doing that, stop.

It sounds like some kind of skin condition or reaction. Make-up doesn't agree with your eyes. Definitely check with a doctor, it'll be worthwhile x

If the makeup is making your eyes burn you are most likely allergic to it.
