Baking soda on my face for acne?
-
I'm sick and tired of looking in the mirror and seeing these dumb *** things on my face. I'm done with it all. I WANT AN ANSWER FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE FROM YOU WITH BAKING SODA, NOT WHAT YOU THINK WILL HAPPEN. As well, do you think if I get a dove bar will that help better than the baking soda? I've stressed too much over this. and it needs to end one and for all.

Save your baking soda for baking cookies. Any kind of facial wash, you're leaving something toxic behind, it's not a matter of convenience, it's a billion dollar business that can do more harm than good to your acne. Take a shower everyday, use washcloth to exfoliate and bath & body wash. Hydrogen peroxide does wonders for acne. Visit their website for more tips & other uses. ONLY $1. Acne medication could worsen what ever allergies you have, so instead of trying out one product after another, you're actually spreading it around. The less products you use, the better for your skin. Use a bath & body wash like Suave, Irish Spring, Dove Body & Face wash in the shower, use a washcloth. Treat your face like the rest of your body, take a shower everyday or wash your face everyday. The secret is keeping your face clean and oil-free. I also don't use liquid on my face for anything, and very little moisturizer, not even a dime size. Since my face is not dry. Good skin also comes from your good genes. Increase your fresh fruits & vegetables 3-5 servings per day. And programmed your mind to do this day after day, for the rest of your life. The beauty industry is a billion dollar business, they know acne is everyone's problem, but instead of saying soap is drying for you, they have to invent an acne product that can worsen the skin as MANY TEENAGERS have experienced during hormonal change, but as you get older those are completely a waste of time & money! Sometimes just the oil on your face from make up and lotions, even from your hair can travel to your face causing acne to come out. Others, from stress, hormones & diet or foods. Google: FIVE FOODS TO EAT FOR BEAUTIFUL SKIN All the vitamins & minerals you need for good skin care comes from all the healthy foods you eat from Mother Nature. If acne's a problem, your pillowcases may be part of the cause. "They collect skin oil, dead skin cells, bacteria, and excess night creams," says David Bank, a professional Dermatology @ Columbia University/New York-Presbyterian Hospital. "But if nothing changed by 6 week the product will never work for you. Time to move on."

I agree with Epic. See a dermatologist. Just because somebody can use these products successfully doesn't mean you can. I have rosacea, and the things people can use for common acne is the wrong thing for my skin. Take proper care of yourself and get a proper diagnosis and treatment. It's well worth it.

no, that is a really bad idea. go to a dermatologist. they will give you medication which WILL get rid of your acne. don't scar your skin trying your own remedies.

baking soda's great, it exfoliates your face (which helps with acne) and make your skin look better just don't over do it or it will look worse. once a week is enough. I would recommend using lemon juice as a toner daily and daily moisturizing! (oily skin especially needs to be moisturized because the gland overproduce oil when it's not hydrated enough causing pimples!) any oxy face wash is good:) and you should use a spot treatment daily! be aggressive with your skin care routine (just not with your skin) and you should see great results:) oh and another thing stress also makes your skin produce more oil which gives you acne so relax. Your doctor may be able to prescribe acne medication for you as well if necessary:)

I've used baking soda befor. It does dry the acne up somewhat, but not completely rids of it. Acne can be a b*tch, the trick is to simplify the face routine as much as possible-too much products will only continue your acne. 1. Wash face with an acne cleanser. 2. Use an Oil-Free Moisturizer (you will find different brands for this in a drugstore like Neutrogena, etc.) 3. Once a week use a mask, either store-bought or home-made. *Optional: There are acne pens out there where you put on a dab of gel on a pimple and it shrinks the pimple / dries it to make the acne go away faster. I currently use a neutrogena one and it works great! Good luck!

I use baking soda almost every day. It doesn't completly get rid of acne, no. But it does exfoliate and make your skin look really pretty. Something that might help is after you wash your face, rinse with cold water. It closes your pores. Don't worry, your not the only one feeling this way. But don't stress too much, stress is a main contributor to acne. Hope I helped!
