Where to get a domain name?

Where can i get a free Domain name?

  • Answer:

If you're willing to put in the time and effort, sites like domainlagoon and postforit.com both allow you to get free domain names and webhosting by posting in forums or completing offers/tasks. Otherwise, I would suggest you simply try getting a job - domains are fairly cheap now, and 4 hours of minimum wage work should pay for one after taxes.

only .co.cc provides free domains names, but Google has recently DE-indexed all of those domains which has extensions .co.cc. but i think Google again has started displaying same domains. Most of the web hosting sites like Bluehost, hostgator are proving free domains when you purchases yearly package from them. It seems you can register a free domain with those web hosting teams. Also Domain purchasing sites like Net4, Bigrock also offers free domain hosting some times if they have special offers to show.

I don't know of any good free domains, for example Google recently removed 11 Million .co.cc sites from their index after the poorly managed easy to get domains were found to have a high level of fraud. You may be better of using a subdomain on a free host. You can buy a .info domain name with a $1 cost for the first year. They can take longer to get search ranking but are not poison like some of the free domains.
