How to do a science fair project on, "will tomato seeds from a pack grow better than seeds from the fruit?" please, it's my first time to do a science fair project. What are the things that i will need? What do I say? or Ask? And like what are the steps in doing it? and can you just say to me in numbers, not sites. cause i tried going to science fair project guide sites but it's too hard for me to catch on with. thank you!

For your particular project: at this time of year it is easy to go to Lowe's or Home Depot or other outlets to purchase growing trays for seeds. You can purchase one or more packets of tomatoes and plant seeds in some of the cells. You can buy tomatoes at the supermarket and remove some of the seeds. Let them dry for a day or two, then plant them in the other cells. Be sure to label which cells contain which seeds. See which ones grow best. Make sure that both groups get the same amount of sun, fertilizer, and water. Record when the first leaves appear, then the first true leaves (the second set in each plant) and measure the height every second or third day. Or take pictures with a digital camera. Good luck.

You will need to find some mature seeds from a plant. Then you will need to find the same variety of seeds in a package. Then you will need to give them exactly the same environment to grow in. If you don't already have the seeds, you may have a problem getting them.
