Where can i find powered amp?

Where is the factory amp in a 2000 Cadillac DeVille?

• I have a 2000 deville and iv blown 2 sets of speakers, one sony, and one alpine. I talked to my cousin about it, he works on cars, and knows some about stereos. He thinks its because i have the factory amp pushing them to hard combined with an aftermarket cd player. Im upgrading to all rockford fosgate and i really dont want to blow my 3rd set of expensive speakers. Iv only been able to find that it might be in the trunk somewhere but idk for sure. if anyone knows about this modle id like to know if i can just disconnect it and it will still play sound to my speakers just powered by the cd player or if i have to dissconect the wires from the amp and bypass the amp and just splice em together, or something like that? thank you much in advance for any help.

  xD hahaha i spent weeks looking for it take out the backseat its behind their(top part) on the driverside :) good luck
