How to use a shaving razor?

Asian hair question, how do i use a shaving razor to thin out and layer my hair?

  • Answer:

90% of Filipinos I know have thick hair. They're thin I'm sorry to say that. It must be the Spanish in your blood. I have Spanish in my blood somewhere, too, and it's thin, but I have a lot of thattttttt. As you can see, it looks thin when styled. But after I washed it, and you make a ponytail your middle finger & thumb meets. I do thin the ends, so they're easier to tuck in when I put them up - example my profile. USING a 2" scissors. I never use shaving razor. It's not good for the health of the hair. AND if you have thin hair LAYERING IT will only make the hair look & feel THINNER. There are blades for that, they're called WAHL, but if you want your hair to look like those photos, just grab a few sections here & there & start 'shaving'.

Yikes, really? a shaving razor?? I am a very experience hair stylist and I would not like to use one of those! You can buy a razor with a handle and a guard on it for the purpose of a razor cut. Available at a Sally beauty supply, or any beauty supply. They are cheap and easy to use. Make sure you get one with a guard, it will help prevent disasters (like removing too much hair at once) and use it while your hair is good and wet.And get extra blades, you always want to use a fresh razor. I love a razor cut!
