Since you can't answer this question, you're no where near becoming a professional photographer. Here is a basic professional set-up - 1DX, 7D (as a backup), 10-22, 17-40, 24-70, 70-200 2.8, maybe some external flashes, reflectors, multiple spare batteries, tons of memory cards, a Macbook Pro etc etc etc etc. This obviously will vary depending on what you're shooting. For wildlife, a 600 or 800 would come in handy. Your camera will not define your talent, your talent (or lack thereof) will define your talent.

I wanted to be able to do some of the photography tricks I saw people doing there. All those cool visual effects, that out of this world stuff - I needed to know how it was done. And I guess you could say I got a little obsessive - but that's okay. Photography is my passion, and if you've been bitten by the bug, you'll know what it feels like to have that burning need to get just the right shot. Click here : http://bit.ly/1rVvgjq

a good photographer can make a good picture with even the most basic of camera. Buying a high end camera isnt going to make you take beautiful images. Photography can be an extremely expensive field to get in to. Maybe you should do some more research before you go buying high end gear. Also, What is high end today- by the end of your schooling etc, will be obsolete.

The camera doesn't matter that much. At your age you would be silly to buy a pro camera because by the time you are ready to do a job there will be newer and better cameras. Buy a decent camera and when you get to the point that you need a pro camera, get it. A Nikon D3100 would be a good choice for you now.
