PC speakers look like good value until you realise that the rely on the processing power of the computer to decode surround. A 5.1 system has all the decoding built in. There are some PC speaker systems which do Dolby Digital audio decoding, but they cost as much as a proper 5.1 system that does DD, DTS, and the HD audio decoding so whats the point. Get a 5.1 system and get the whole HD audio experience.
