Touchscreen Calibration in Windows 7?
-
I have a touch screen ELO et1725L LCD monitor, it runs on a 5-Wire Touch screen Controller. It connected really well and it works it's just Windows 7 won't calibrate it properly and I cannot get the awesome features of windows touch. The software for it works and lets it calibrate but I don't want to use the software that came with it because it disables the windows touch and flicks features. I would love for help on how i can get windows 7 to actually save the calibration changes and not have the cursor about 20 - 50 pixels away from my finger, I want it to calibrate to be exactly when i point. I have OS windows 7 Professional 64 and I want windows touch for my 17" touch screen I dont understand how windows cant use the calibration information i give it to be able to work. I open the control panel and i open the devices and hardware section then i click tablet PC and then 'calibrate' and the white screen comes up with the 16 points to touch and i click the cross hairs as it says and it says "done" ('Yes' or 'No') I click yes and it closes then i go and test out what happens when i touch and my finger touches and the cursor is at the opposite end of the screen and doesn't really go to the middle either, there is no half way point where my finger is inline with the cursor. I click calibrate again without clicking reset and a white screen comes up with 4 points this time; BUT It only responds to the first cross-hair touch (the one in the top left corner) all the others wont respond to my finger movement. its like it doesn't know where my finger is!? Help would be greatly apreciated!!!
