Why doesn't my laptop monitor turn on?

Laptop on duel monitor setting...how do turn the setting off?

  • I have a laptop (HP to be specific) and accidently set it to duel monitor mode as the secondary monitor. Now when I boot it up, it just shows my wallpaper and I cant access anything. I know how to hook up a second monitor and am going to do it, but how do I undo my mistake once I get the second monitor hooked up? Do I just go into the control panel and change my monitor or is it more complicated than that?

    Just hold fn(its next to left control button) and press f4(it has a pic like |[]| ) until you set the correct display settin. Hope this helps.

Hold the windows button, then press p once and release both buttons. Repeat until you got the desired result.
