  • Answer:

Hello, 1. Most companies outsource their hosting services, because it's cheaper and the service is better. You can also rent a dedicated server, so you will use all the server resources. 2. You could find reliable hosting provider at http://www.windowshostingasp.net/Top_Best_ASP_NET_Hosting_Providers.aspx after that you should get a hosting plan and deploy your site on the hosting server. Finally you must point your domain name (as yourname.com) to the server. 3. You can easily integrate Paypal, just check the instructions on their site. 4. You should have a dedicated IP and SSL certificate. Regards

1. They use dedicated servers. 2. Go for a big hosting plan with more than one domains (preferably) and unlimited sub-domains. Buy SSL from Verisign etc. for your shopping cart. 3. Do a bit google to get lots of resources with codes for payment gateways. 4. Search MSDN or CodeProject for "How to secure your page with SSL in ASP.NET c#"). The first step is likely to use forms authentication, get the rest from web. Visit here to get a "Simple Shopping Cart" code; just for a primary idea: http://bit.ly/HoVz6L

1) some would host on their own servers and some would host on godaddy or other hosting providers. 2). if your website is backed with database like sql server. look for hosting service which provide both web server (IIS) and MS-SQL. I think for your currency (Rs), http://www.znetlive.in/asp-net-hosting would be a better option. opt shared hosting in beginning. shared hosting would mean, there would be other websites in same server along with your websites. there will limit on size of memory you can use. 3) there are lot of open source shopping cart framework out there for .net framework. one of them is http://nopcommerce.codeplex.com/ http://nopcommerce.com/ you can find code for various payment gateways. find payment gateways which offers services for your currency, enquire about them and their quality of service and find how to use them. 4) once you are done with buying the domain and choosing hosting provider, buy SSL certificate (verisign or other providers) and register in IIS (Web server). http://www.verisign.com/in/ssl/index.html http://support.microsoft.com/kb/299875 you have to put the code in your page to redirect to https if they try to access using http: SSL certificate expires after a while. so renew it whenever it expires.
