Can a Microsoft Office macro duplicate fields, create text based off check boxes, etc. and/or create fields?
-
I don't know too much about macros in Microsoft Office but I'm really trying to see if what I need is even possible before I try to learn how to do it (I know, its going to be tough)! Can a macro be created to do the following: 1.) Duplicate text inserted into a field and place it in another field elsewhere in the document? ie: At the top of the document I insert "Tom" in a name field and it puts "Tom" in all the name fields throughout the document? 2.) Insert text (a few words) into a different location in a document based off a check box being checked? ie., I have a list of tasks with check boxes next to them. If I check any given box, a phrase will pop up later in the document, allowing me to just check off specific tasks completed and have a paragraph which details the list of documents practically write itself at the bottom. (ex: I checked "Jumped" "Ran" and "Jogged" but not other options. Later in the document I have a sentence that says "[Tom] was able to complete the follow tasks during gym class: [Jump in the air], [run a mile], [jog around the block].") 3.) Create a text field only if a specific check box was checked? ie., I check [Completed] and then "Completion Date: [date text box]" appears next to it? 4.) Lastly, can any of these fields correlate to fields in other Microsoft Word documents? Thanks!!!
