How to edit chromium code to hide address bar?

How do I edit a webpage?

  • I know that theres this thing that you put in your address bar:(javascript:document.body.contentEdi... document.designMode='on'; void 0) after you find the website you want to edit, but it doesnt work for me. I have a mac, and I tried it on both safari and firefox. I go to (for instance) Yahoo News, i put in that code, i hit enter, but still, i cant edit it. I dont know why i cant do it, and it seems like fun (not for illegal purposes).

  • Answer:

You do know you're not editing the web page when you do that, even if if it worked, do you? All you're doing is editing how the web page looks on your computer. The trick works in Firefox and Safari for me, maybe you've got scripting turned off?
