How can I add text on gif?

How do I add text to my gif on photoshop CS5?

  • Answer:

Hellooooooooooo It's a simple fix to be honest basically at the top of your screen go into the Windows drop down menu and pick Animation. You'll be greeted with this timeline menu thingy. On the first frame, place your text where you want it, if the text file isn't appearing on any other frames (click each frame individually to check) then you duplicate the layer onto all the other frames. Finally once your happy with the GIF go to File > Save for Web and Mobile Devices. At the top right you should see a file type drop down menu click GIF and then click on Save and then test the file by dragging it into a browser. Hope this helped :)

first make sure the text layer is at the very top of the layer stack in the layers panel. If that doesn't do it, then you can either highlight all of the frames in the animation panel that you want the text to appear on, and then make the text visible in the layers panel, or you can turn "propogate frame 1" on (in layers panel) and apply the text to frame 1, and it will apply to all frames...... OR you can use the "unify visibility" option for the text layer.... also found in the layers panel.

To make the text visible on all layers, simply select all frames (either by going to the animation menu and clicking 'Select all frames', or by clicking the first frame and then clicking the last as you hold down the shift key) and then clicking the box next to the text layer so that the eye appears.

Photoshop is mostly a graphics program not a video editor does it doesn't do titles and effects too well. What you have to do is create the layer with your text then copy the layer to every frame you want the text to appear on.

Click the first frame in the animations tab, then click the last frame in the layers tab, and then add your text. Once the text is added, unclick the eye next to the text layer, and then re-click it. Hope that solved your problem
