Blackberry curve 8520 problems?

Cellphone problems. White screen on Blackberry Curve 8520?

Since couple days I've been getting the white screen. Today it completely shut down on me and won't reboot. The screen where it starts loading when you turn on the phone, it only goes half way and the white screen would pop up for a minute and then just shut off. However, after I got home I connected it to my laptop and it turned on and rebooted properly. Is it a software issue? Or something wrong with the battery? How can I fix it?
