Can i change a regular phone into a smartphone? if i can how?

HELP!! phone got stolen..?

I was at the park and I guess I dropped it somewhere, and I didnt notice till I was leaving. i tried looking everywhere but I could not find it.. I already called and reported a lost phone to my phone company but my main concern is that i didnt have a lock on it and since its a smartphone it has all my networking sites logged in... what do I do?? and can the people still see all my info even if my phone has already been reported to the phone company? should i change my passwords?? Thanks !
