Is it possible to do a live broadcast with a regular camera?

Anyone know of a wireless camera that can broadcast live video without requiring internet access?

I'm looking for a wireless camera that can broadcast a live feed to a single laptop about 20-30 feet away. It would be affixed to something and pointed straight down for an overhead view. Not looking for a wide-angle lens as I do not want the image to be distorted in any way. To aid with visual inspection. Internet access will be not available. Audio is not required (or requested). Must have fairly decent video quality. Video in colour is not required, but in colour with a black & white option would be nice. Most likely would require a battery operated model. I've tried looking around but the majority of what I see either requires internet, or stores video on an sd card, or has a camera that is so bad my 5 y/o cell phone looks better. Your assistance would be appreciated.
