How long to wait to call a girl if she didn't answer?

I met a girl the other day and I called her to ask her out today. She didn't answer the call and I wasn't able to leave a voicemail because the box was full. How long should I wait to call her back again? She didn't know my number so she wouldn't have been blocking the call because she knows it is me calling. We have different area codes and my phone could have been though of as a spam call. Would just a text message be alright to do.. maybe tomorrow or something? Or should I call again?

Try calling once more. If you don't get through then send a text saying you couldn't get onto her or leave a voicemail. Put a smiley fce at the end of the text so she knows pure not annoyed about not being able to reach her (some girl will worry about that). That way he knows ou tried more than once and still want to see her.
