(and dont say 2 or 3 weeks or something like that because the package was sent in express)

  • Answer:

Usually my International Express mail from the Phillipines is delivered within 6-7 days after the sender emails me the tracking number. However, I too am waiting for the tracking status to change. Inbound into customs is where I'm left hanging like you. Usually my package is in customs 2-3 hours. It's sad when I have my tracking number memorized and am constantly calling the 800 # and checking the status online. This is my most current status: EE305433491PH Inbound Into Customs Processed Through Sort Facility March 27, 2012, 4:09 am ISC SAN FRANCISCO (USPS) Origin Post is Preparing Shipment Processed Through Sort Facility March 21, 2012, 11:44 am MANILA, PHILIPPINES --------------------------------------... It doesn't matter that the package was sent express. Customs can hold packages as long as they need to complete a determination of whether the item(s) are legal in the US or whether duty is owed on your package. Some things go right through while others can take much longer. The longest delay I've experienced was 8 weeks when the paperwork was not filled out completely/correctly. Occasionally, some things are not admitted to the US at all. You just need to be patient.

Consider yourself glad the US has some kind of protection against terrorist attacks.. Chemical weapons etc.. Maybe that's why customs has beefed up.
