    It depends on what you are looking to get out of your blog. Blogger is awesome, it is free and indexs well with good content. Tumblr is great images and videos Wordpress.com is free and works well, you do not get the plugins but you get to see what wordpress can do I use self hosted wordpress with Godaddy.com and it is the best. I have used all the above platforms and i will not be going back.

If you are looking for a free option, I would go with Wordpress.com. If you want a great pay option (you actually just pay for hosting), I would go with Wordpress.org and buy hosting for it. Usually hosting is about $6 a month.
