Who do I call about my interview status?

Interview Confusion, help anyone?

  • I recently had an interview at banana republic and I'm not sure how the interview went. I feel that i did great, spoke well, without nervousness and he took down a lot of notes on a paper. He immediately asked me at what number he can reach me, and after he asked me typical interview questions he began to talk about dress code. He told me what i was wearing was fine and went into detail about their dress code, he mentioned the duties of the position i was applying for, he briefly mentioned orientation that would be sometime on the weekend. Where I'm confused is that he talked to me about dress code, daily duties of the position, a little about orientation and he told me he'd call me back at the end of the day or the next day. It's "the next day" and i haven't received a call. He also told me to keep my phone on and nearby, so that told me he was gonna call. Should i call and ask my application status, or what? I'm confused, he talked to me as if i got the job, but haven't received a call. My interview was yesterday(Wednesday), should i expect a call tomorrow on Friday since orientation is on the weekend? Do you think i got the job? Thanks for all your help!

  • Answer:

If you do not hear from him by mid day Friday, I would call him and ask about your status. Nothing ventured nothing gained.
