What's the best push up bra?

12 Year old wearing a victoria's secret pink bra?

  • My younger sister is 12 and my mom lets her go into Pink and buy PUSH-UP bras. They are really..umm..inappropriate for her age. They're like hot pink with black lace, and stuff like that. My sister is in 6th grade. She makes sure to wear v-necks so the top of her bra always comes out. What's worse is, she buys a B cup, so she looks like she has boobs, but really, there is nothing to "push-up". She is basically flat, and it just looks awkward and disgusting for her to wear that. Sometimes she even overlaps 2 bras at once. I talk to my mom about the image she letting my sister have of herself, and the image she is letting other people see. My mom just says "Stop being a mother hen and mind your own business." Well, I would be more than happy to mind my own business if my 12 year old sister didn't look like a hooker, and if you actually did your job as a mother! She'll be pregnant by 14! She always is texting little 6th grade boys saying "I love you, babe". And I heard her on a phone call at midnight one time saying "Your voice is hot." Whats really disturbing is that, about a year ago, I found like 2 pictures on her phone of her naked upper parts... Whats your opinion on this?

If she is acting like that at 12 years old I can imagine what she's going to be like at 16 or older. Those kinds of girls have horrible reputations by the time they enter high school. It will be partly your mom's fault for allowing her to do that at such a young age. I worked at a Victoria's Secret and I would see little 12 and 13 year old girls buying thongs! Everyone shopping would look at them in disbelief. I know mom's like your mom and you just can't make them understand that what their daughters are doing is wrong. My cousins daughter is like that. She's 13, wears push up bras, wears see through lace shirts with just a bra and her mother and aunts think it's cute. She's had more boyfriends than me and I'm 20! I know one of her classmates and she says that she's known as an easy girl. Honestly, I don't think you will be able to change your sister. At some point your mother will regret all of this. Probably when she ends up pregnant! Be proud of yourself for knowing better than your mom. You will be a great parent!

To be honest, that is exactly what my old best friend's life was like at that age. She got the Victoria's Secret push up bras, was always texting and talking to people (mainly guys). And now she has had an abortion, run away from home, and has been kicked out of high school (at age 16). She's really nice and sweet, but has been taught to lead the wrong life. And she did take pictures of herself (when she was in the seventh grade) with a bra on and sent it to a guy. That guy printed it out and put the pictures all over the boy's bathroom. I highly recommend you talk to your mom about this. Or, just look at it, accept it as it is, and say that you know what? You know better than that and that is going to benefit you so much in the future.
