How many push ups, sit ups/crunches, pull ups, chin ups, bench dips should I do a day?
-
Ok so I'm 194 lbs 6 feet tall. My body fat is somewhere inbetween 12-13.5% I want to lose 5% body fat. I lift weights 3-4 days a week working out all parts of my body and do cardio on my off days. Here's my routine. Mon- Chest, shoulders, triceps Tue- Non lift day but I run stairs at a football stadium for an hour going up and down 40 times. Wed- Biceps and back. Thu-Non lift, run stairs Fri-Chest Shoulders, Triceps Sat- non lift, cardio at gym Sun- biceps and back Next mon- Non lift day, stairs. So I lift either chest shoulders and triceps or back and bicep every other day to allow recovery. So what days would be a good time to do push ups, sit ups/crunches, bench dips, pull ups and chin ups? I have a pull up/chin up bar in my door do I can do them at home and also a bench for bench dips. What days should I do what exercises though and how many sets of how many reps? I don't want to overtrain my muscles and hurt them from growing. And suggestions would be appreciated thanks:)

Answer:
I do calisthenics (bodyweight) exercises first thing in the morning prior to getting in the shower. Everyday. Usually 2 rounds of 4 sets of 8. Each round consisting of several exercises so pretty much 72 total of each exercise

Well If your trying to lose body fat I would suggest more running and cardio along with a diet. The weightlifting you are doing now seems like a good solid routine. I would keep doing what your doing but add a diet and more cardio/running.

Well pullups would go with bicep/back. Try wide grip behind the back pullups for lats and close grip. Bench dips is tricep so do that when you do your tricep exercise. Sit ups/crunches, I would put that in with your non lift days. and chin ups...I didn't know there was a difference between chin ups and pull ups. I am going to figure you are around 16?!??! Even if you are 20, the only way you are going to overtrain your muscles is by working hours a day and same group pretty much everyday. You will know you have if you literally can't do anything with them. Soreness is different, it's good...Go until you can't do anymore, it won't overtrain, it will train.
