How has education changed in the last 20 years?

I've gained 20 pounds in the past 3 years even though my food consumption and exercise hasn't changed ?

Although I am still considered healthy according to my bmi, l weigh 140 pounds and am 5'6" I am still embarrassed about the way I look. My eating habits were never super healthy, however they were never quite unhealthy either, I love fruit and meat however I often indulge in bread, starbucks, and chocolate chip cookies. Is there anyway I could lose weight without cuting out all the good food? I already don't eat lunch, but I really don't want to be left out when all my friends order pizza, or get starbucks. What should I do?

    You answered the question yourself, you stopped growing. The amount of food you were taking in was enough for your body to keep growing and not add weight, it's kinda like this. If you were a car when you were 15 and younger you got 5 miles to the gallon, food was used up quickly. Now that you are matured and not growing you are now a prius, 50 miles to the gallon and you don't need nearly as much food to go about your day. I suggest working out, eat less your size you need 1700 calories a day and a multivitamin to be perfectly healthy. I would suggest three times a week going for a nice cardio exercise such as running or biking for 30 minutes +. Doing that with eating 1700 calories a day you will lose weight in no time.

You answered the question yourself, you stopped growing. The amount of food you were taking in was enough for your body to keep growing and not add weight, it's kinda like this. If you were a car when you were 15 and younger you got 5 miles to the gallon, food was used up quickly. Now that you are matured and not growing you are now a prius, 50 miles to the gallon and you don't need nearly as much food to go about your day. I suggest working out, eat less your size you need 1700 calories a day and a multivitamin to be perfectly healthy. Also, cut down on bread because bread is full of carbs and carbs pack on the pounds! Finally, increase your exercise program. For ex: instead of going 3 times a week, go 4 or 5. As you get older, you change and you start to gain weight easier. It's natural... Now you just have to work a little harder. :) hope I helped!!!

The human body gets "more effient" with age (and that puts on fat despite normal exercise). Consider "better" foods as substitutes. Oprah did it.
