How many calories should I be eating to lose weight?

I weight 145 & um 5'6. I normally.don't eat that much but I do now u need to eat less calories to lose weight but the problem is that I dont have an estimation of how many calories I normally eat so how .I supposed to know how.many I should eat to lose weight? I want to drop 10 to 15 pounds! and I do cardioo for one hour like 3 times week. Can anyone help me?

I think 3500 calories is a pound so eat lesser then 3500 calories ok.

My pet peeve is how people are so brainwashed thinking that losing 5lbs of water is losing 5lbs of fat. First off you have to measure it with a caliper because Im pretty sure you want to lose body fat from your total body weight. There are 7 different things that make up your total body weight: Skin, organs, bones, muscle, water, undigested food, and last but not least..body fat. Another pet peeve is how girls tend to gain lean muscle weight (muscle is more denser than fat) and think they are getting fat. Cardio is just ONE PIECE OF THE PUZZLE. You need to gain lean muscle to burn more calories, just running or walking on a tread mill IS NOT GOING TO WORK!! You can count calories all day, but if your not building lean muscle and doing cardio you will end up looking the same for 6 months or even more Here's an equation: Less Calories + More Cardio + More Resistance Training + Eating more lean protein = Body Fat Loss You might want to look up WBFF Women on YouTube and see what they look like, and maybe even some names of the models and get their workouts to help you out.
