Can I get into Yale with this?
-
I'm currently a junior at a large (over 3000 kids, over 1000 kids in my class alone) high school which is known for its academics, sports, and arts across Pennsylvania and the United States. I'm looking at colleges because the time has come for me to pick and choose where I want to go, but as it goes for many people, I'm want to go to great schools, however, I don't know if my stats are good enough to get me accepted. The colleges I am looking into are: Yale, Penn, Cornell, Johns Hopkins, Carnegie Mellon, Syracuse, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Chicago, Rochester, UC Berkeley, UCLA, Southern California, Duke, Emory, Case Western, Lehigh, Vanderbilt, Brown, George Washington, Wake Forest, Bucknell, Tufts, Boston College, Pittsburgh, Wesleyan, the Claremont Colleges, U of Richmond - a long list I know, but I plan on cutting some colleges off the list after visiting some of them in the summer. I really want to go to Yale though. Everything about Yale is perfect for me, the size, the people, the campus, the academics, the organizations, the life, and the resources. My brother goes to Yale University and will be graduating this semester. I'm not sure if it helps me get into Yale or not. I've been to Yale numerous times and stayed for weeks at times and I love it, and in my college essay, I'm including everything I love about Yale in it, to show that I am passionate to get into Yale and show them that I will take advantage to what they have to offer to make Yale keep its good reputation and make me a better person. While I've been to Yale, I've met with a lot of people who said they got in with a 3.5 GPA or 1790 on their SATs. *SAT Reasoning Test - 2130 *SAT Subject - still have to take them *Unweighted GPA - 3.7 / 4.0 *Weighted GPA - 5.7 / 6.0 *Class Rank - 59 - top 5% of my class *Classes Freshman Year - HP/Gifted English, HP/Gifted American History, Honors Physical Science, Honors Latin II, Honors Geometry *Classes Sophomore Year - Honors English, Honors World Cultures, Honors Biology, Honors Algebra II, Honors Latin III, *Classes Junior Year - AP English, AP US History, AP Latin, AP Statistics, Honors Physics, Honors Pre-Calculus, Honors Chemistry I *Classes Senior Year - AP English, AP US History, AP Biology, AP Psychology, AP European History, AP Calculus AB *Outside Study - Greek *Penn State University (not related with my high school, doing this for myself) - Biology *Total AP Classes - 10 *Total Honors Classes - 13 *I take all the hardest courses available to me for each subject *Extra Curriculars Freshman Year - Student Government Association (Homeroom Repliaison), National Junior Honors Society (Member), Concert Band (Clarinetist) *Extra Curriculars Sophomore Year - Class Cabinet (Class Vice President), Indian Cultural Association (Member), Student Government Association (Class Representative) *Extra Curriculars Junior Year - Class Cabinet (Member), Indian Cultural Association (Member), Student Government Association (Class Representative), National Honors Society (Member) *Extra Curriculars Senior Year - Class Cabinet (Vice President), Indian Cultural Association (Vice President), National Honors Society (Member), Student Government Association (Class Representative) *Outside Services and Things -Helped my local government Commissioner with his elections (which he won) two times -Helped my local US House of Representative with her election -Volunteer continuously at my two temples -Shadow various doctors in various fields - total of 50 hours so far -Tutor kids in various subjects -Volunteer for local events -Work at Kumon Learning Center - tutor and teach kids from ages 3-17 *Awards -American Legion Award -Contiguously getting the Honor/Distinguished Honor Roll Award -Business Award -Service to Student Government Award -*** Laude National Latin Exam - 9th Grade -*** Laude National Latin Exam - 10th Grade -Magna *** Laude or Better National Latin Exam - 11th Grade *Ethnicity - Indian-Asian *Religion - Hindu *First Time College Student (well my brother is in college so he would be the first in the family) *Income - Middle Class Family

Answer:
Ill be honest and say no. I know 3 people that were #1 in their class with a 780 math and a 750 english on the SAT. That's 1530 out of 1600. They did not make it into Yale, Harvard, Duke, or any of the top schools. One ended up at Presbyterian College in SC. The 2 others went to Wofford College in SC. You are very smart but those schools only take the BEST of the BEST
