Where can I apply for SAT?

Need college admissions advice-- retake a 2200 SAT? Where should I apply?

  • Here is my score breakdown. I have mixed feelings. This is the first time I took the SATs (March 2012). I'll give you a bit of more information. 03/10/2012 SAT Reasoning Test Critical Reading 690 94% Math 750 97% Writing 760 99% Multiple Choice 76(score range: 20-80) Essay 9(score range: 2-12) Additional info: female, south-asian, junior in high school looking to enter a SCIENCE field-- preferably math or physics very passionate about science--> shows on transcript, essays, extra-curricular activities, etc 750 chem SAT II 203 PSAT Freshman Year: Honors English, Honors Geometry, Honors History, Honors French, Honors Science Sophomore Year: Honors English, Honors Chem, Honors French, Honors Alg II, Academic History Currently in AP Chem/French/English, Honors Physics, Honors Pre-calculus Next year-- AP CALC BC/PHYSICS/STAT, Composition I&II Honors My *weighted* GPA: 3.7 Freshman Year 4.2 Sophomore Year ?? Unsure Junior Year Note: 1. school does not release unweighted GPA 2. it is not that great, i know i know. Junior year has not been going sooo well.... Bs/B+s/few As Colleges to consider: I'm not sure! UChicago is ideal! Where else should I consider? Should I retake a 2200? Are there any other standardized tests I should take? ACT? Another SAT II? What should I aim for on those? Thanks! Oh, and I'm also in Honors History right now as well. I'm not too paranoid about my grades/standardized scores. I really just want to become a scientist-- a good one, too. If anything, that's what drives this whole process. I imagine a good science school would be good for me, yes? I also like philosophy, traveling, art and indie-culture. So, maybe take this question like this: If you were in my situation, how would you act and approach this process?

  • Answer:

That's a great resume. If you're interested in improving it, consider taking the SAT II test in Math, I would suggest level 2. There probably aren't too many colleges you would have trouble getting into.
