Admin apprenticeship interview questions?

What questions will/might be asked in a business admin apprenticeship interview?

  • Answer:

Look carefully at the information you have been given about this opportunity- does it list what tasks you will be expected to carry out, what strengths/skills/knowledge they are looking for, and what training will be given? Also do some additional research- look at the company website, and generally think through what skills and strengths are needed in business administration. Once you've done this, you should be able to predict what information they will want from you in an interview, and therefore the kind of questions they are likely to ask.For example, they will want to know that you are motivated and enthusiastic to learn, and have career plans in business administration- they will be investing in your Apprenticeship training and will want to know you will stay the course. Also, in this work you need to be organised, able to plan and prioritise a varied workload, have an eye for detail, good as part of a team and have a good level of English and maths. Think about how you can give examples of when you've been organised ( maybe your school/college work or in other jobs), when you've pushed yourself to learn a skill, something you are proud of having achieved, where you see yourself going, and what you think are your main strengths for the job. Most of all, show enthusiasm, and that you've done some research and preparation-mention something you know about the company, and ask a few intelligent questions such as what opportunities are available when you've completed the Apprenticeship. Good luck and go for it!
