What Song Should I sing In the Talent Show?

What song should I sing for my talent show audition?

• So i was in the school play, and I had a four line solo that got a bunch of compliments from a bunch of people... I didn't sign up for the talent show (I forgot) but the people running it must have seen the play or something. So my audition is next Thursday if I decide to do it... If I do do it, I don't know what song I'd sing. I'd want it to be something different, that people would remember the next day. Something that would show off the talent I apparently have. I don't really know how to define my range... that confuses me because I haven't really publicly tried to go super high, but the highest I've gone for at least a measure or two was a high F on the scale. I was thinking of singing something from Phantom of the Opera, like "Think of Me," but I don't know if I can go that high; I don't really sing in front of people if I don't have to, so I don't "practice" for no reason unless its like quietly (or higher) in the car. Or something like that. I don't really want to do a song you'd expect, you know? Not a random modern song. Something with meaning, I guess. So yeah. That's the story. So if you have any suggestions about what to sing, or even how to train my voice to go higher or lower if the song I choose requires. Oh, and I need recording of the instrumentals of the song (basically karaoke but not...) and such. Make it legal please :) THANK YOU. Other ideas are appreciated, too.
