MUN (Model United Nations) HELP?

Model United Nations (MUN) Vocab Question?

  • Answer:

Hello! Both are pretty general terms for MUN 1. Delegate - it's someone who represents a nation or territory. For example, if I was researching nuclear development as a delegate of Italy.. then I would research Italy's policies and views on ND. It's the person in the room who will push for and support "their" Nation's policies. 2. Yield - In MUN, it's usually used as a verb. A. "I yield my time to questions" after one gives a speech... that means that the speaker will use their remaining time to answer questions from the audience. B. "I yield my time to the chair" also after one gives a speech... that means that the speaker is done talking, does not wish to use his time, and may sit down. A common dialogue set would be: Speaker: *gives speech* "I yield my time to questions."
