What is a good start-up sound system?

Call Of Duty Black Ops sound does not working?

• installed this game yesterday and the sound isn't working for some reason...but it's weird because the sound works fine on the initial startup (the treyarch loading screens and whatnot), but then in the main menu it's silent, but after I click campaign I can hear the guys talking to each other about Cuba and Castro and everything sounds fine, but then when it gets into the game again, it's silent. WTF is going on??? I'm using Windows 7 and I am using SPDIF2 to output sound via a fiber optic cable to my surround sound system. I've been using this setup fine without any problems for a long time now, have played many games and never had any issues like this. I've tried everything in the audio settings in the game, nothing is relevant, the only weird thing is the "Sound Device" option at the bottom has "Stereo Speakers" under it, and I cannot change it...it's like, greyed out as if it cannot be adjusted. Dunno if that has anything to do with it.

  If you downloaded it as a torrent it might not contain all the audio it is suppose to,try reinstalling the game and see if that helps. If it doesn't you should able to find the audio files some where online .
