On sims 2, How do I wear pajama's that I've downloaded from Mod the Sims?

I downloaded a night gown for my toddler girl, and I want her to wear it. I turned on boolprop and clicked on "plan outfit" but that does not show pajama's. I have downloaded the clothes correctly, I just do not know how to wear them. This is also the same when I download hair. It does not show up when I choose change appearance.

please make sure if the pajama and the hair you downloaded need a mesh, unless it won't show up. and also enable the custom content box.
