How to create accounts for my minecraft server?

  • A few months ago I saw my friend and his family using a minecraft server with only one account. When I asked him how he did it, he said he could create accounts, being owner of the server, that could only be used through his server. For example, he could make my username "notch" and let me log in as that. Does anyone know how to do this?
