Serious question: Can the hunger games movie happen?

  • I personally believe that the hunger games as well as the downfall of America can't happen. Why? Look at the examples in life and past. Hitler. If you've seen the movie "Downfall" and all the horrors of what happened yes it's horrible but think about what everyone else thought about it. At the Nuremberg Trials the Generals as well as everyone else said they did it because they were "commanded to" and out of fear. I don't blame them, I personally believe that Hitler was on his own side with only a few followers and for a person to have that control in our world today would cause uproar and immediate impeachment. Also our government is too strong and have plans to avoid catastrophes like this from happening and even worse. If you think about a real life situation if you get into a fight and you "beat that person up" like an MMA fight they are going to love it, but if that person takes out a gun and shoots or kills the person there will be awkward silence and uproar. Meaning with even that simple scenario in reality it can't happen. The UN (The United Nations) - The league of nations was disbanded and it's primary goal was to "ensure that war never broke out again" now it's called the United Nations (UN). Now the cause of the apocalyptic downfall of North America was unknown. So in your opinion also post what do you think should happen for North America to brutally be submerge into rubbles. I personally think a nuclear war that no one will win but the UN is for ensuring and enforcing peace so doubt that. The government owns and constantly looks after the earth by tracking what's happening in space of incoming objects and such. Ever nation has there own HUMINT and will constantly be updated with information, the government also has top notch security and people that are highly trained, skills, and intellect that compared to the movies makes the actor look pathetic, and so much more. Now if your thinking that "What about natural disasters"? Weather forecast on the news will know about abnormal looking patterns in the wind and can tell if things are heating up with tornado, hail, rain, hurricanes, etc. Now for volcanoes I don't know but there's always something and the fact there probably is close to no volcanoes in the US. With all this being said and taken into consideration. Do you believe that could North America fall ANYTIME in the future, millions, billions, trillions, and even past that into infinity? Our technology will increase and intellect and such so these matters will probably be easy to deal with because we'll have developed something to combat it. Also "Do you think we the world or individually North America ever be so far into technology that we ruin ourselves?" Example: In 1960s we didn't have cell phones so people went to other peoples' houses and talked. Nowadays we just have to click a button and we can have a 4 way call with someone. Example 2: In 1960s as well they didn't have "Playstation 3s" or "Xboxs" or so to entertain us. They found entertainment from going outside and hanging with their friends and just went to bed after. Nowadays we have all this technology that society for a large part still plays with their friends but it's with these video games and some or most play by themselves so they don't get the social interaction a human should get. As times goes by our technology increases so what do you think could happen when all this technology rises? Will it be our downfall or help us, bring up examples and intellectual thoughts. Please don't be lazy, push forth. While typing you may learn something you didn't know. Questions to look at 1. So in your opinion also post what do you think should happen for North America to brutally be submerged into rubble? 2. Forgot to say that the world or North America would rebel against what they perceive as "evil". So if this happens in the near future or trillions of years do you think killing and such will be the norm so this will be considered normal or will it not? Because back then gladiators loved the killing until a man said for this killing to stop and sacrificed his life to prove a point. 5. Do you think we can get back into that age of killing in the future? 6. What's your take on the bible because it tells about the Anti-Christ and such, could the Anti-Christ be like Snow except worse?

    oh wow.... I'm not reading ALL that. But I think people can do some pretty crazy things, I don't think it would be exactly like the Hunger Games, haha, but almost anything is possible. Besides, people actually enjoy violence- kinda sick, but it's true. :P

Yes, I think anything in the future is possible. We never know what to expect. I mean, take the show "Survivor" for example. It's like a very, very watered down version of The Hunger Games. Also, ask yourself this: Why do we make horror movies? Because people like to experience what the capitol people experienced when watching the Hunger Games, a sense of thrill and suspense. Also, remember Gladiator fights in the past? Same thing. No, we're not as blood thirsty right now, but if some of us were forced or tricked into it, would we be?

I don't know what the hell you were going on and on and on about cuz I didn't read most of it. but to answer your original question: yes, it is unfortunately possible. I mean look at ancient Rome and how people enjoyed seeing gladiators fight to the death, or Christians being eaten by lions. nowadays we have horror films etc to satisfy our bloodlust but it's a fine line if you ask me. and, well, geographically speaking, I don't think they tell us what exactly happened to the continents to make Panem what it is (least not as far as I've read so far) but that might be possible too for all I know.

Duh. Of course it's possible. First of all, the government is completely corrupt-no one is FOR the people. The people-WE-are supposed to be the government but those f*king a$$holes in Washington make it seem like only they are. I mean, if the government has so much power, who's to say THEY wouldn't start it? It's a possibility and we have to watch out.
