I have to pay £5.00 at school because of other students? I was working with students i did not choose to work?

If you make a fuss you risk making things worse- however there should be a set policy on charging for "losses", which you could ask to see. Do you not want your parents to know? If they refuse to pay, it takes the problem away from you. Just a small story- years ago classmates fed a history text book to a donkey in a field behind our school, and our form master made us each pay 50p, which must have raised about £15- this was in the 1970s. we paid without any fuss. The 50p would now be about £4 to £5. I don't know what happened to the donkey!

If they don't have a proof, you don't have to pay. That's a fact. They may try to 'threaten' you, but ignore that. The mostly can make you stay longer, but really, you don't have to pay for what others did!

Individuals cannot be charged with theft without evidence or proof. The teacher cannot take action and punish, much less on a hunch that she may have. Even though it is a small amount to pay, don't out of principle. Contact the dean/principle of the school and tell them what she is trying to do. If they give you any problems, then contact the school administration. I know the process is the same for here in America as it is there. So you might need to translate the terms. If the school board won't do anything, then you need to file a report with the police using their non emergency number. I don't know what the law is called there, but the law is about not having a fair trial and unjust punishment. For all you know, the teacher stole it and now is getting the students to pay for it.
