How to write a history essay introduction?

Can someone please help me write an introduction?

  • I am writing an essay in history about how America was affected by WWII/ the Holocaust. I have several key points that I want to include in the introduction, but I am having writers block really bad and need help getting started. My key points for my essay are: 1. How we left the war being #1 super power in the world 2. The start of the Cold War 3. How the creation of the atomic bomb helped us in the war 4. The Holocaust and why we didn't do anything when we knew about it 5. The creation of Israel and how we supported them. I just need an introduction!! nothing I write seems to sound good :(
