What is college actually like?

What is college like?

  • I am new to the college life because I'm a recent high school graduate who didn't sign up for college for 2 years. Now that I am going to a college, which is a community college, I want to know what it's like. Even though I'm going to community college it's still like a 4 year college. The only difference is it doesn't have a dorm. I plan to transfer to another college after I finished anyway. I just want you all to fill me in with what the life is like.

    Since students don't live at community college, there isn't much of a social scene. You take your classes and then you go home. Students only tend to hang out on campus (often in the library) when they have long breaks between classes. So it's harder to make friends or get involved in activities. Just plan on spending 2-3 hours per every hour in class on homework outside of your classes.
