Should I minor in Information Systems with a bachelors in accounting?

With a bachelors in Accounting, should I minor in Information Systems or Business Administration?

  • I will be graduating this year with a bachelors in Accounting. I do intend to take the CPA exam the following year and doing my required time at a CPA firm. However, I like to keep my options open; I am a little worried about pigeon holing myself so I was hoping you could give me some pros and cons to help me decide whether to minor in Information Systems or Business Administration.

    Accounting degrees already have a lot of business classes in them...so a minor in business administration doesn't make any sense at all. And honestly, a minor in information systems isn't going to lead to anything at all. If you truly want to keep your options open, minor in biology. That way, you can always retrain for a high-paying medical career if accounting doesn't work out.
