You don't need a credit card. I just set one up a week or so ago and I'm trying to remember, I think it asked for credit card information and I just skipped it. But I was able to set up my account anyway. So when it asks for that information, just skip that step. There is an option to redeem a gift card. I don't care for Itunes, it's hard to navigate, but I had a card too. Just explore the options.
