What can I eat on a low GI diet?

Any women have PCOS, that I can relate to?Any diet plans that have worked for you?

  • Answer:

Me my mom and my sister all have PCOS. I'd have to say going vegetarian is the best thing i've done. My sister is also vegetarian. It is so difficult to lose or even maintain your weight weight with pcos. So i also cut out dairy products and avoid white flour. Women with pcos are more prone to type two diabetes so i also avoid sugars. i'm not sure how much you know and i don't want to dive into what i know, that would be rude. one thing i will say is because PCOS is mainly hormonal its different in everybody. 2 girls could have PCOS but have totally different symptoms. So just do some research! figure out what works for you.

I have PCOS - I gained a bunch of weight and my doc put me on Metformin and a low carb diet. So far I've lost 107 pounds. Just get a couple of cook books on low carb eating - or even diabetes cookbooks. You would just have less white foods like breads, rice, noodles. You don't have to stay away from them - just don't eat too much of them. You can click on my pic and send me a message. I don't mind. See if your doc will put you on metformin. Google: metformin, PCOS It'll help.
