How does a cell phone keyboard work?

Is there a way to fix the glitches in my cell phone?

  • I have an almost 3 year old enV3 [without touch screen] that has many annoying glitches. Listed below is a summary of these malfunctions: -Sometimes it won't work unless its on a charger. When I take it off, the battery dies within 30 mins to one hour -The speaker on the outter flip hasn't been working for about 4 months or so, therefore not letting me to hear someone when they call though they still hear me. I can only hear them when you open the flip, putting them on speaker phone. -It sometimes freezes up, but taking the battery out normally restarts it -I havent been able to send or receive picture messages for a few weeks -The service doesn't always work. It'll say "searching for service" for days at a time. And I know we've paid the cell phone bill because otherwise everyone else's phone in my home would get cut off too because we all have the same plan Since my phone is just so old, I figured it's just wearing out after 3 years of chronic texting [even the keyboard is fading].. But I've also dropped it a lot as well but not recently, so that could have something to do with the dysfunctions of it as well. But anyway, are these glitches fixable? I have verizon, so if there is a way to fix the glitches and I went to the verizon store to have it done, what exactly would they do to get it to work again and would it cost any money? And do you think I may as well just save my time and just get a new phone because it's just getting old and can't be repaired? And I don't know if its really necessary to mention, but I have verizon wireless in case that helps you out with your answer. Thanks!

  • Answer:

With technology constantly changing regarding cell phones, etc., a new phone would be my choice. And was..lol. Had LG Optimus m with MetroPCS to Samsung Galaxy Note with AT&T. If you are really attached to your specific phone you can always try buying a refurbished model with not as much wear on it or a used one on ebay, etc. Sounds like you have really "enjoyed" your well used phone you are considering replacing tho! lol
