How do I afford college?

How can I afford to go to college?? and which one should i choose?

  • I am really really really debating on which college I should go to. I really want to go to San francisco, but its waaaay too expensive. I want to earn a bachelors in business administration. If I go to a state university I want to do business and fashion merchandising. I have sacramento and san francisco as options, but if i go to uc berkeley, I would only do business administration. But, if I cannot afford it i will have to go to stanislaus which i really really dont want to go to because i would also just have to do business and no fashion, so if i'm going to a school that i can only do business i would much rather go to a uc. How can i afford to go to college. and where can i look for scholarships besides fastweb.com and scholarships.com? and also, which college do u recommend?

  • Answer:

My suggestion. for you, is to head to a college that's cheap and offers your major. If your credentials are low, or even average, chances are you will have to take out loans. Applying for scholarship wouldn't help because only roughly 1% of the applicants get accolades, and most scholarships were handed out by the colleges, institutions, themselves. Even if you do apply for scholarships on fastweb.com or scholarships.com, chances that you wouldn't even win; you are competing against numerous applicants. Anyways, it all comes down to you, if you can afford the cost, you can consider the private institution. But, if I were you, I would opt for UC Berkeley; it's cheap and it provide one with great education. ~David

Mr. David

There is student loan, but you better have a good job right after college to pay off the bill, try to stay away from that one. Another is join the Army or military the government would fund everything after you complete your service in the military. May be did your parent save you any money or an insurance? And finally I think you should talk to a school counselor they might able to help you.
